This collection is arranged as follows. Total pgs for 2nd Ed. is 209. Estimate of sample ECG is about 1500, more or lesss. The original 1960 work has about 215 pgs. The first ~ 15 pages are "how to" and theory of ECG and I am going to put that at the end. And the text and figures will be put onto Word docx format which is an OCR conversion thing and free to do when using Microsoft Edge. The best viewing of these diagrams is setting your "Open with" to browser MS Edge. Firefox works also but sometimes with distortions because all browsers are NOT equal. I only do the code writeups in Google Chrome because I don't make my living doing web coding or any for that matter. But incompatability becomes a real problem for doing commercial products because there are at least 6 major browsers and each handles various aspects differently. For instance, some browsers will inject margins, padding, line spacing etc. whenever the meet a code writeup. If you also add margins, spacing at the top, etc. then those elements will be added and it screws things up. What web sites I have writtern I inform the reader that the code is written to be compatable with ONLY chrome.

Purpose of this website, The-Cardiac-Engine.net is to facilitate the learning of an aspect in medicine, the heart (Cardiology) as it pertains to the electrocardiogram (ECG). I have NO training in medicine whatsoever. It really does not interest me beyong the ECG.But when starting to have palpatations and heart racing, about five years ago I decided to begin studying the heart to the level of my capacity.
What actually interested me was the electrocardiogram, ECG, and how it worked. My degree is in electrical engineering, BSEE, from University of Tennessee, 4-1974.My focus was communcations sysems and electronics - the standard stuff. I started off with a background in some electronics as I did have an advance class FCC HAM radio operator license (WB4-SLO) and I had gone to state vocational school to learn how to fix radio and TV. When I say State Vocational I am not referring to a state reformatory school where they teach radio and TV, car mechanics, etc.(if they actually do so anymore) to reorient your thinking, at least hoping to do that. It was the Memphis Area Vocational Technical School (Trade school) that I attended.
The scope of this work is limited to arrhythmia of the heart ( Read Google AI Overview ) which is {arrhythmia problems} sufficient by itself for a lifetime of study and research.

I sometimes ask people "what was the time you remember best that which made you very happy? The point being that we remember best the things that make us happy such as times in the past. We don't (if we are normal) suppress happy thoughts, memories that make us feel good. In a learning experience - when we are actually having fun in the learning - the limbic system and other systems within the brain form interconnecting associations with that - in this case - the subject of what we are learning. When we dread learning a subject - say it be calculus or organic chemistry or learning to read - say it be late in life - it is generally because we have been pre-conditioned to fear what we don't understand. And this fear of the unknown is a natural "evolutionary" tool of survival.
The Differential Diagnosis of Arrhythmias was intended by its authors to be a diagnostic tool for medical doctors and nurses, EMTs etc. As I examined some 400 pages (the two volumes) - over a period of months - it all looked to me (and I don't mean no offense to the Greeks ). . it all looked greek to me. Same today with me when I look at the Chinese alphabet.
Do you know what it feels like to not be able to read - don't know what the letters mean - don't know what the sounds sound like that go with the letters? Especially when all around you everyone else seems to know how to read all them signs and things.
